Sneaker Planter

A functional sculptural object that merges sneaker culture with domestic space, pairing plant life with everyday garments to create a playful yet considered composition. The work reimagines familiar objects through a design-led lens, balancing humour, function, and form. Based on the iconic Air Jordan 4, the edition translates key design elements — including the original Nike Air heel branding — into a refined sculptural planter. Cast in white resin from a hand-sculpted model developed in VMU STUDIO, the piece preserves the silhouette while introducing a new purpose. Each edition stands at 22 cm and is presented as a set, comprising one sneaker planter and one sock element. Produced as part of the “Art of Living” series, the work reflects a core VMU principle: elevating everyday cultural symbols into collectible objects designed to live within real spaces.
